Just because I desperately needed something to laugh at right about the minute the e-mail arrived, I laughed. Not at the subject, but at the timing.

I got spam with the subject line, "Medicine for Valentine's Day." And if you're thinking it was for medication to deal with erectile dysfunction, you're right. But unless they're doing some very early advertising for next year, they're rather late.

I needed the laugh because this was a day that started out well but got altogether too challenging late in the afternoon, thanks to a balky phone system and the idiot on the other end of the line. The idiot was the larger portion. Enough said.

And laughing at oddly-timed spam definitely helped wash away the challenge.

A little perspective after that has helped the night go well.
