The map showed an orange fury, middling across the state.

The sky showed streaks of lightening and sounded peals of thunder.

And the rain came.

Looking out my window at the desolation that was the parking lot, I wondered...

Why the sky was weeping.

For what infraction of cosmic rules the cloud banks were crashing in chorus to scold.

At what patch of evil darkness the light was sent to point all her fingers and obliterate.

And at the ending, with anger spent, nature once again fell dark, dry, and silent.
