The estate written of yesterday provided yet another bit of hilarity this afternoon.

It seems that the decedent had, in her estate planning, chosen several charitable organizations to be the recipients of bequests. In connection with these bequests, a financial institution had written to the attorney handling the estate.

In listing the recipients, someone apparently had something else on his/her mind. According to what we read, Ms. Decedent had made a bequest to "Physicians Without Bladders."

We are sure from other documents that the word up there should be, "Borders." We suspect someone really needed a potty break. And in the office this afternoon, you could tell who had been handed the document by the guffaws.

Congratulations to David, whose interest in supermarket history is the topic of this news article in his hometown paper. And it's my pleasure to note here that David's dinner gathering celebrating this upcoming landmark birthday of his will be held in Los Angeles on Saturday.
