Me to Associate Two, after someone had made a remark about average law firms: "We're not an average law firm. Any firm where the Administrative Assistant thinks one of the more important parts of her job is to be Handmaiden to the Golden (Retriever) is not average."

Associate Two's reply: "Yeah, and I think we're doing things the right way and those others need to come up to our level."

I think that exchange can stand on its own.

The Golden in question agrees.
