March 31

A rainy day is a wonderful excuse to curl up and do nothing useful. I've spent most of today unabashedly web surfing, getting caught up on some things I'd missed in the last few days. I had a lot of other things I could have and probably should have done, but it was a nice break in the routine and I really enjoyed it.

Another sign that spring is here: the children who live in the apartment complex are outside playing again. Well, not right this minute; it's late night and they're probably all asleep. But they've been outside during the dry times over the weekend, and it's been fun to hear them having fun. In fact, they may have inspired my day of fun today.

In response to a thread on The Usual Suspects message board, asking what we looked like, I decided this site needs a dedicated place to have a picture of me, so I did that. In case any of you haven't seen the occasional pictures of me in entries, you're welcome to go here to see what I look like.

After doing all the web surfing I got sleepy, so I took a nap. I did some crocheting after I woke up. That's a restful thing for me, and even though it's technically a useful thing to have done, it didn't disturb the lazy quality of the day.

Now it's nearly time to go back to bed for the night. It's been a very pleasant day. I hope yours was, too.

Beth started a ring of journallers who updated daily (or gave it their best shots) during Lent. The ring is called "Saving Kymm's Soul," in honor of Kymm's pledge to give up reading journals for Lent. She'll need a handy list of archives to search as she celebrates Easter, and we thought we'd help her out. The list of ring members is here. It has been my pleasure to be associated with this.
