This picture was taken in the wee small hours of January 1, 2004.

The reason I took it was that Sister Betty, still living in San Francisco at the time, asked me how the new year was shaping up on the east coast.

I went to the front door and took a picture, which didn't come out all that well. So I got a little creative with it...

I thought about it while chatting with Patrick about night shots after he posted two tonight. And I thought I'd share it.
