December 20

If the weather could be charged with crimes, the police would have been called to arrest the cold and wind today. They would have been charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

We knew it was going to be cold. I'm not at all sure we understood how cold the wind would make it. We were grateful that we didn't get any snow to speak of, and that the ground was still warm enough to let us avoid frozen troubles from the bits of snow that fell last night.

At work, office dog Zoe was annoyed with all of us, because some of her people were on vacation and others left early for the day. And because it was so cold and windy, not many of her human buddies from other offices were outside to greet her when she went to walk.

Zoe, who definitely knows better, was barking indoors to express her displeasure. And if she were in charge of Christmas stockings, you can be sure we would all be getting lumps of coal.

So goes the Monday of the week before Christmas.

Holidailies

I am delighted to be participating again in Holidailies. In addition to those participating in the portal, there are writers who are doing "Holidailies at Home." A list of those participants, as well as other information about Holidailies, is available through the link.
